[Disassembly] Nerf - Mega Cycloneshock

The Nerf Mega Cyclone shock is a 6 dart revolver style blaster. Quite a fun blaster in my opinion. It's very comfortable, although hand guards on pistols has never been something I've liked. This blaster is not as simple as many other blasters, but it's generally not too difficult.

First, remove the screws from the slide. The pink circled screw hole fits the smaller of the 4 screws.

Here you can see the return spring mount. When re-assembling, make sure the spring is attached to this post again.

Now remove the rest of the screws in the blaster.

The three longer screws go into the green circled holes, while the medium sized screws go into the blue circled holes. The smallest screw goes into the slide as shown above.

With the screws removed the shell halves can be separated. If you wish, the grip can be removed from the shell body for painting or other modifications. They are just pressed together and not bonded with glue or other methods.

This is how the blaster should look with the shell opened.

I suggest removing the slide return spring so it doesn't get lost.

The muzzle piece is just friction fit and can be removed as well if desired.

Remove the trigger assembly, it should come out as one piece rather easily.

Now at the rear of the rotation mechanism's arm you can see a small spring. Make sure NOT to lose this. Leave it in the blaster for now, as we'll come back to it in a minute.

Remove the small slam fire piece.

Now the entire plunger/rotation mechanism can be removed in one piece. Be careful not to lose the small spring and lever we mentioned previously. Leave them in the blaster while removing the plunger assembly.

Now carefully remove the spring and lever.

As with the other shell half, the grip can be removed from the shell body if desired.

This is what you should have now. The turret attached to the plunger/rotation mechanism.

Remove the plunger.

Removing the turret takes a fair bit of force, but wiggling it gently while pulling forward should release it.

You will be left with the assembly below. I didn't personally see a point in disassembling this unit further as 1, it felt like it would break; and 2 there would be nothing to gain in stripping it down more.
