[Disassembly] Nerf - Mega Doublebreach

Here we have the Nerf Mega Doublebreach which is supposed to be the Mega Shotgun everyone wanted. Unfortunately it is essentially more of a "Mega Doublestrike" due to it being a smart AR system. One pump primes and fires the upper barrel, while the second pump primes and fires the lower barrel. It does NOT fire both at once, although that would be an easy modification to do, although you would need to upgrade the spring to have both darts fire reasonably well.

On to the disassembling;

First, remove the screws from the pump grip.

 There are 5 screws here. 3 long, and 2 short.

Now remove the rest of the screws from the blaster. There will be two longer, 14 medium and 3 smaller screws. The two long screws go above and below the muzzle in the front, while the 3 smaller screws are removed from the tactical rail. All other screws are the same medium size.

With the screws removed, you can separate the shell halves.

The front muzzle piece and sling mount can be removed easily at this point.

Since I always tend to lose them, I also recommend removing the tactical rail detent piece.

The grip sling point can be removed if desired as well.

The plunger/priming mechanism should now look as below;

Remove the trigger with spring.

The plunger tube and barrel mechanism should now look like this, and can be removed easily by twisting it slightly leaving the plunger behind.

The plunger mechanism can now be removed.

Be sure not to lose this spring as the blaster will have inconsistent firing. I found out the hard way.

Unfortunately for the plunger mechanism it looks like Hasbro decided to glue the halves together. As such I wasn't willing to damage it by prying it apart. The plunger head itself can be removed, although on mine it was attached in the same way the shell holder is. Which is that the plunger head is forced over a catch piece which would need to be pried apart for the plunger rod to be removed from it which I wasn't going to try at this time.

The dart door can be removed easily by pulling it inwards when it is nearly closed

Here is the dart holder attachment point. As you can see to remove it would require either shaving down the plastic nubs that pass through the blaster, or prying at the 3 legs that hold the nub in place. I rather like the dart holder so I have no desire to remove it.
