[Disassembly] Nerf - Elite Firestrike

This blaster is a few years old but considering it's my favourite I'm going to start this blog with a disassembly of the Nerf Elite Firestrike.

Remove all 8 screws. 7 on the left hand side of the shell, and one in the grip that holds the batteries.

You're then left with the following;

Now, remove the light button/lever, the trigger, the dart storage and the tactical rail retainer. Be careful not to lose the retainer spring.

Now to remove the plunger assembly. Hold the catch spring with one hand, while slowly wiggling the barrel free from the shell. Once free, I like to remove the catch spring from the catch so that I can't lose it. The plunger assembly should now be out while bringing the light assembly with it. Let the light assembly stay with the shell for now.

Now carefully grab the small button pcb and pull straight upwards and the light assembly should easily come out.

You now have a completely disassembled Elite Firestrike, and should have the following;
